1973 VW Beetle 1600 Twinport
Great running condition, mechanically sound, new carburetor gasket kit, replaced crankshaft seal, new Coil and Spark plugs + spark plug wires + points . Battery was new 2 years ago been standing in garage and not using car at all, it will need a long charge or drive the car more often, also new starter fitted with professional starter and battery wiring done, old starter reconditioned + new solenoid, spare new petrol pump. Fitted Alarm and New Usb Pioneer radio + new Arial installed, 4 new Tires, New headlamps and chrome covers, Indicator lenses and chrome covers, Tail lights, Exhaust all been replaced. The vehicle has been in Muizenburg / Simons Town most of its life - previous owner hardly drove the car in 10 years and we used it for 4 months in 2 and a half years, it had usual rust spots and all repaired. Pan has been sealed from inside and new mats fitted, a lot of time and money went into the little car. The seats are cracked but 2 seat covers on at the moment. Boot cable also new (front bonnet). Paint job was buffed and rust areas was fiber glassed and painted. Brakes had been reconditioned done professionally + new brake light switch. That's about it, hope someone could enjoy her, the little car deserves so much respect it is always willing and gets you were you need to be for a 43 year old car with a lot of original mechanical parts. Wife and I named her : "Sweet Pea"
