Bought this trade-in car at the end of March 2024 from Haval Milnerton as its 2nd owner. Car only lasted for less than 2 months when it blew the head gasket (102k kms). Car stood for almost 2 years whilst waiting on Motor Industry Ombudsman to get justice. After many delays on the part of the dishonest dealership who have simply just ignored the Ombudsman's instruction to fix it, I had it towed to a local mechanic in order for me now to having to fix it myself. He stripped the engine and said it's need boring, skimming, new gasket. Told him his quotation is too expensive where he then replied that he's unable to put it back together again. Had it towed back to my home with engine in pieces inside the boot area. So was done in not a only by the dealership but also this mechanic. So ja need to get this depressing episode out of the way and dud of a car out of my sight and life. - Kraaifontein
